Welcome to BLHS, which is situated on the sandy plains of the Cape Flats. We are celebrating our 53rd year of existence. The school has a proud record of academic excellence, sports achievements and cultural contributions in our community. We have certainly lived up to out motto " Meliora Petimus" in striving to improve the academic, sports and cultural output of our learners. Unfortunately, for a number of reasons, we have experienced a dip regarding the aforementioned. Our aim and mission for the next 5 years will be to bring the school to the next level of achievements as in the period 1970-2000. I am positive that we will be successful.
Mr L. Peters (Principal)

Dit is die skool
Dit is die skool vir my
Waar ek my krag en deugde wy
Waar Godsvreugde moet heers
In hart, verstand en gees
Ons is trots om hier te wees
'n Weg te baan en vas te staan
In Petimus Meliora
Dit is die skool
Dit is die skool vir my
Ons sing, ons werk,
vertrou op jou
Petimus Meliora
